Young girls in Tanzania face many barriers in post-secondary education as more traditional expectations and gender roles re-emerge.
Madam Batuli oversees our shelter for at-risk girls aged 18-23 years. Some are victims of domestic violence. Others are threatened with rape or early marriage. One is already a single mother, without any future for her or her child.
Currently, we accommodate 10 girls on-site, studying business, finance and tailoring in college, whilst receiving counselling and life skills training to enable them to become financially independent.
From January 2023, we will have space for 6 more girls. It costs up to £2,000/$2,400 to sponsor a vocational student at Kijana Kwanza for 12 months.
Can you help us fundraise to give 1 girl a better future?
