Blessing is one of 500 children registered to receive free medical insurance as part of Kijana Kwanza’s Gift of Good Health 2023 Appeal.
Due to his disability, Blessing’s mother abandoned him when he was 2 years old. His father is now his full time carer. During the day, he carries Blessing on his back, and begs outside local mosques and churches. Blessing also needs medicine, costing TZS 70,000 (approx. £22/$30) that his father cannot afford.
In Tanzania, medical insurance costs just £30/$40 per year, and Blessing’s medicine would be free of charge.
So far we have funded nearly 200 children, match funded by the Beta Charitable Trust.
