As the floods subside, leaving behind carnage, Kijana Kwanza has started its relief work in the community. So far 50 families have received new mattresses and bed sheets and 40 school children have received replacement school uniform and school supplies. We have also provided housing grants to several families who need to rent alternative accommodation.
As the relief work continues, we would like to thank the Beta Charitable Trust and the Lady Fatemah Trust for this unique funding partnership to provide relief for flood victims in our community.
