Meet Amina, a sponsored student who had been living with her grandmother until her grandmother tragically passed away in December. After her grandmother’s passing and with no family members able to care for her due to their own struggles with alcohol, Amina was left alone, without a safe home.
Following a home visit by our social worker, Regan, we swiftly moved Amina to our Kariwa Shelter where she will receive the care and support she needs.
We conduct regular monitoring visits for all our sponsored children. These visits help ensure their safety and well–being, allowing us to take immediate action when necessary, just as we did for Amina.
