Hundreds of families queued outside Kijana Kwanza yesterday for the the start of the annual distribution of Ramadan Food Parcels.
This year, donors from across the world have generously sponsored over 500 food parcels, match-funded by the Beta Charitable Trust, containing essential staples for families struggling to make ends meet.
We are very proud of our sponsored children and young people who led and oversaw operations throughout the day. From registering guests to preparing and packing the food parcels – as well as the occasional delivery on the back of a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) or bajaji (tuk tuk).
