In Njoro Ward of Moshi Town—home to over 23,000 people—around 360 pregnant women each year give birth without easy access to specialist maternity services.
We’re proud to announce that Kijana Kwanza has just completed construction of a new maternity ward, built next to the existing local dispensary. This week, we’re in China with Zuberi Abdallah, Mayor of Moshi Town, to source vital medical equipment for the clinic.
The building has been generously funded by the Lady Fatemah Trust, with our donors contributing $20,000 towards fixtures and fittings. Watch this space for more updates as we prepare to open this exciting new facility.
