Kijana Kwanza (Young People First) is pleased to announce an open call for the recruitment of new Board Members to strengthen its governance and strategic leadership.

Kijana Kwanza is a community-focused organization dedicated to empowering young people through programs that promote education, protection, skills development, and overall well-being. As the organization continues to grow, the role of a strong and diverse Board becomes increasingly important in guiding its vision and ensuring sustainability.

Role of the Board
Board Members at Kijana Kwanza play a critical oversight and advisory role. They are responsible for supporting the organization’s strategic direction, ensuring good governance practices, and safeguarding the organization’s mission and values. Board Members work collaboratively with management to provide guidance, policy direction, and accountability, while acting in the best interest of the organization and the young people it serves.

Who Should Apply
The organization welcomes applications from individuals with diverse professional backgrounds and experiences. Candidates with expertise in areas such as governance, finance, law, education, social work, child and youth development, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, or organizational leadership are particularly encouraged to apply.
