Bashiru was abandoned by his father and raised by a mother who cannot read or write.
He often went hungry and could not afford basic school supplies or even a school uniform. These challenges made education incredibly difficult.
After just one year at Kijana Kwanza, Bashiru is now achieving Division 1, the equivalent of a Grade A.
