Recently, Romana, who is studying for her Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery, completed a placement at a local medical centre where she spent time in the dialysis unit gaining valuable hands on experience and observing procedures involved in patient care and dialysis management.
Experiences like these are especially important as Tanzania continues to face shortages in health care professionals, while access to specialist services such as dialysis remains limited in many areas.
