2-year-old Anailah was taken into hospital this week suffering intense pain as she could not move her bowels or pass gas. After a swift diagnosis of inguinal hernia, she was operated on, and has now fully recovered.

Anailah could have died without treatment, which her guardian would never have been able to afford. However, Anailah was one of 350 recipients of last year’s medical insurance appeal, which enabled her to access free treatment for just £35/$45 per year.

With special thanks the Beta Charitable Trust for match-funding last year’s appeal and saving Anailah’s life.
