A message from our Co-Founder:
Today I celebrated the wedding of my adopted son, Said.
The story goes back some 6 years, when he arrived at our shelter, an orphan, and the very first child to be sponsored by Kijana Kwanza. Quickly, we developed a bond, and after he graduated secondary school, he managed to convince me to take him into my home.
Like every father and son relationship it’s been full of drama, but it makes me very proud today to see him finally standing on his own feet. I wish him, and his new wife, Saida, a former vocational student at Kijana Kwanza, a happy and prosperous future.
