Bonite Foster Homes aims to connect children from Shabaha Children’s Home, who cannot be reunited with their families, with the warmth and care of Tanzanian grandmothers, or Bibis.
These women have often been widowed, isolated or marginalised. Each Bibi will be carefully trained to provide nurturing, safe and supportive care for the children.
We have purchased land for 28 homes. 7 have been completed and 7 are currently under construction. Each home will accommodate four children.
