Mwanaidi, an 18-year-old student supported by Kijana Kwanza, travelled to Dar es Salaam last night ahead of her scheduled heart surgery .
Medical specialists have diagnosed her with a large atrial septal defect (ASD – 33 mm). Surgery to close the hole is planned for next week at JKCI, Dar es Salaam, and is critical to prevent further deterioration of her condition.
We are extremely grateful for the generosity shown so far! But just over £1,000/$1,380 remains to be raised to meet the full cost of the operation.
