Farmer Idrisa’s hard work over the past 6 months has finally paid off, as he proudly harvests the very first crop of maize at Shabaha Farm, managed by Kijana Kwanza.

Over 7 acres, Idrisa has planted maize, fruit trees and an assortment of vegetables. It is the start of our 5-year ambition to become wholly self-sufficient for our food supplies.

Idrisa would now like to introduce chickens, goats and dairy cows to the farm, to provide a regular supply of eggs, meat and milk for our children. Please consider making a sustainable gift of livestock that will feed for years for years to come. The cost of a flock of chickens is £55/$70.
