This week, 29 students are sitting their final secondary school exams. For many of them, this marks a significant achievement as they will be the first in their families to finish secondary school.
Among these incredible students is Zaina, every female in her family was raped and Jaffery, who was orphaned, forced to sleep outside his aunt’s house and treated like an animal. (Names changed to protect privacy).
Despite these unimaginable hardships, each of these students has shown resilience and determination, and we couldn’t be prouder of their journey.
Wishing them all the best of luck as they take this next step toward a brighter future.
