As construction of our new children’s home gets underway, I am heading to the UAE next week to meet donors and sponsors of Kijana Kwanza who have generously supported the charity over the last 5 years.
Almost half of the £750,000 / $995,000 bill for this capital project has now been pledged. The UAE is my first stop on a series of international trips in 2024, to garner support for building the largest centre in Kilimanjaro Region, dedicated to the rescue of orphans, street children and child victims of abuse, aged just 5-12 years.
