The lights are on at KK Workshop (thanks to Juma and Hassan)! The centre for vocational training, our latest initiative to support young people to become financially independent, has opened today.
The workshop will provide young people with essential training in five areas; electrical installation, welding, carpentry, plumbing, and mechanics.
We are developing in-house curricular for each area, starting with mechanics. We look forward to welcoming a mechanics specialist, from the UK, in September, who is kindly volunteering his time and expertise to devise and help deliver an enriching mechanics curriculum.
