At Shabaha Children’s Home, many children arrive having not learnt basic hygiene. We teach them to wash, brush their teeth, and care for their clothes, helping them gain confidence and dignity.
As the children learn and practise hygiene, the piles of laundry keep growing. There are currently 20 children, and as this number rises to 50, Mama Hassan spends long hours hand-washing their clothes so every child can wear something clean and feel proud.
A washing machine costing £250 / $340 would ease her workload and ensure the children always have clean clothes.
