With national examinations underway, Jumanne is relieving his stress on a sack of maize!
This afternoon, our students have been busy processing the small maize crop that we planted at the start of the season.
The cobs are initially dried in the sun and then placed in sacks and beaten until the grain falls from the husk. Any remaining grains are removed by hand. After sifting the dirt, the grain will be ground into maize flour, a staple food in Tanzania.
