Kijana Kwanza is pleased to announce the purchase of a 1-acre plot in Shabaha District outside of Moshi Town for the construction of a new Children’s Home for the evicted residents of Halima Orphanage.
The new project will provide emergency shelter for orphaned, abandoned and street children, and link to a wider social welfare programme that encourages family reunification and fostering in families as an alternative to long-term institutional care for children under the ages of 12 years.
Meanwhile, the children of Halima Orphanage will move to newly rented facilities this weekend.
