This afternoon, staff and volunteers of Kijana Kwanza gathered at the site of Mbuyuni Market, which burned down a couple of weeks ago, to start distribution of food parcels, gas cookers and cash grants of TSH. 150,000 (£50/US$70) to victims of the fire.
The event was attended by the Hon. Priscus Tarimo, MP of Moshi Town, who pledged to open a fire station and work towards installing fire hydrants at markets across the region.
