Tasting Entrepreneurship

Students learned cooking skills while exploring entrepreneurship, turning simple snacks into income

Share

Last week, our students got hands on with entrepreneurship and life skills, learning how to make simple savoury snacks such as banana and potato kachori.

There was a lot of mixing, frying and the occasional “this one is definitely too salty” moment, but plenty of learning along the way.

They also explored how these skills can turn into real income, selling each piece at 100 TSH (approximately £0.03 or $0.04) and beginning to understand the basics of earning for themselves. Some quickly realised that eating their profits might not be the best business strategy!
