With inconsolable grief and unabated tears, Kijana Kwanza announces the tragic death of sponsored student, Raymond Expery Marusu this evening, alongside Ashraphu and Mustafa, cousins of Kijana Kwanza’s Chairman and Co-Founder, Mujibu Idrisa Abeid, in a car accident.
The small party which included other students, were dropping Raymond off at his new school where he was due to start his A-Levels next week. Aside from 3 confirmed fatalities, most of the group are in a critical condition.
We are in mourning and appealing for funds towards medical and funeral costs, and a lasting memorial to the dead.
