It is not unusual for children and young people in Moshi Town to live in severely overcrowded housing. Several people often share a single rented room, normally without electricity and water supplies.
Our Study Café provides an informal, comfortable space for children and young people to study. There is a free Wi-Fi connection and a small library of school textbooks. This resource is very important because most government schools do not have enough textbooks and they are too expensive for low-income families to afford.
There is also a small shop that sells stationery and refreshments on site to generate a small income for the organisation.
Over 100 students access the Study Café every week and it gets much busier during exam season!
